Autumn moments to remember

This autumn has really been the complete opposite of summer. We had only few sunny days and it was cold and rainy.
But this autumn, the first time since I came here, has been so sunny and beautiful. The colors are so amazing and everything is like a masterpiece of art, awesome in colors and light.

I really hope there are still many sunny days to come

Summer flowers

A little collection of summer flowers…
They remind me, that this life does not last forever.
It is a glimpse in the universe, a breath, a blink of an eye.
It will perish, like these flowers.
Few days in the summer they bloom and give us joy, only to wither away and die.
So now is the moment to enjoy and to live to the fullest. Do not weep over yesterday, do not worry about tomorrow, for those do not exist.

A sunset at the chain of generations

And another sunset… the cycle of day and night, winter and summer, dark and light, life and death on this earth keep me amazed. I have been searching for my ancestors a while now, at the moment I can track my forefathers to the 16th century, and this chain of generations is somehow beyond my grasp. How life is so fragile and still everything goes exactly the way god has planned it to be… This thought makes me so grateful for an opportunity to be here…

After so many weeks … the sun!

Oh what a beautiful sight this morning. I saw blue sky! What an amazing sight, which I haven’t seen for weeks. It was few grades below 0 Celsius, the ground was frozen and the clouds were missing.

Well, on a day like this, you have no other choice then to get out of the house, as fast as you can. Directly after duhr (midday-prayer) we got in the car and drove to a beautiful place called Riihivuori. Here a short collection of pictures on this great late november day in middle Finland.

The view from up there was just fantastic, and it was the only right thing to do. With the sunlight-cache now filled up, we are prepared for the next grey days. We even found a woodpecker in the forest, hacking a tree.

I love those moments in the nature…

Autumn forest in middle Finland

It was the time of year again! Our annual autumn forest trip was today. Looking at older posts, I saw I had posted none of our last year’s trip.

Well, not missing it this year. I was very beautiful, as usual. We were blessed with a beautiful weather, it was not too cold.

The sun was shining lightly through the clouds and gave everything a smooth feeling and look

The leaves were so beautifully colored

and there was a small lake with little fishies

And a sort of ski jump right into the water

Looks bit steep from above

I have always wondered, what is it like to jump in there. Never seen people doing it, but what else could it be for…

It was such a nice trip, I hope next year we will go again!

Inshaa Allah

The sun and the sea

A little image from the first days of september. Sunny days become more rare and rare, so when it shines, you have to go outside and enjoy the last glimpses. Sooner or later I will miss the sun desperately.

This haven and the sun was taken on these last summer days, or the first days of autumn. I just love the sun how warm it looks.

The boat is arriving at the haven, there are still so many boats out there. Some people leave their ship until the first ice come. I never have been a boat owner, so I cannot comment if this is a dumb thing to do, but I wonder what if you wait too long and you cannot get the boat out anymore.. Could be getting expensive.

Well, without a boat, I do not have to worry about it 🙂
